Gennady is a blend of platformer and roguelike, where you must fight your way through shifting corridors filled with chthonic creatures, and death only makes you stronger. All wrapped in the legendary absurdity and classic animation inspired by the era of Earthworm Jim.

The game takes place either on the outskirts of an alien world or in the abandoned backyard of the protagonist, who found himself here against his will. This black-and-white world is only broken up by splashes of green slime and stains of blood, while the protagonist’s occasional thoughts emphasize his detachment from what’s happening. It feels like a dream where you find yourself on a crowded bus wearing nothing but your underwear.
Each time you step out of the half-ruined house, the cold walls of dark corridors form a new path, throwing fresh dangers your way. Meat presses, fire geysers, even circular saws — and that’s only half the problem. The rest are grotesque monsters, just begging to get punched in the face… or whatever they have instead.
